the possibilities are endless…

Whether you feel you’re being called into missions long-term or simply want to give a period of time to what God is doing in other cultures and countries, ACC World Missions provides ministry avenues designed for committed, adventurous Christians who are keen to go!

As little as 6 weeks or as long as 2 years - it's up to you!

Japan Team

Japan team Membership (JTM) is for upbeat and outgoing young Christians who have a passion for evangelism in a cross-cultural, cell ministry setting and who thrive in a team environment.

In 2002 the “Tokyo Jesus Life House” church was planted in downtown Tokyo by a group of Aussies, and has since become the fastest growing church in Japan.

JTM’s finance their ministry and build friendships mainly by teaching conversational English.

JTM’s should:

  • Be a committed Christian & at least 18 years old.
  • Have the endorsement of their home church leadership.
  • Be able to commit to a minimum 12 month term.
  • Be able to raise their own funds (they are volunteers)

Long Term

Long termers are dynamic self starters, helping to forge strong strategic alliances to see the gospel message effectively go forward in very complex cross-cultural situations.

  • They are committed to learning language, culture and other local factors.
  • They become foundational in helping to develop and release new national movements, leaders and pastors.
  • Long Termers assist in the development of fully indigenous expressions of the local church.

There are openings for long term workers and apostolic leaders in many areas of the world. Contact the Mobilisation Team for further details.

NB: Progress to the field as a long-term worker usually occurs after 1-2 years service at Volunteer status (or Japan Team Member). Contact us for further details.

In Your Second Half?

Visit the Second Wind Website

ACCWM partners with Second Wind Network to mobilise Australian Christians in the “second half” of life into active involvement in local and global mission.  The Second Wind website includes an on-line Mission Matching Service to help you “find your fit” as well as other information to assist you.  It also lists many current mission opportunities with all their other Partner Agencies.  If you are in the “second half” of your life, and wondering “where to” from here, go to the Second Wind website .

Volunteers and Field Workers

  • Want to give some meaning to your Uni Holidays?
  • Owed some Long Service Leave or retiring, but want it to count?
  • Taking a year off school or some unpaid leave?
  • Think you've been called to long term missions and want to test your calling?

Use your skills, giftings and ministry heart in the context of the world-wide team that ACC World Missions has the privilege of serving.

Outgoing, passionate & responsible individuals, who have a desire to further the cause of Christ:
can participate with missionaries and project workers in an effective way for periods of between 6 weeks to 24 months.
can be involved in ministering the gospel in cross-cultural, team oriented settings through a specific placement that develops skills and ministry giftings.

These roles are not holidays. Rather they are service roles that often benefit the volunteers as much as the missionaries & national churches who are assisted through the work achieved.

Volunteers and Field Workers should:

  • Be committed Christians & at least 18 years old.
  • Have the endorsement of home church leadership.
  • Be available for six weeks to two years.

The difference between Volunteers and Field Workers is that Volunteers must be able to raise and manage their own funds, whereas Field Workers can draw support from their home church and other churches with whom they have relationship. Field Workers finances are managed by ACCWM.
