japan team - empowering young people

The Japan Team Project is all about empowering young people to see the youth of Japan transformed by the power of the Gospel.

Just imagine –young Christians with a passion for evangelism in a cross cultural setting, venturing to Japan for one year, focusing on Japan’s need to know Christ amongst the young English speaking Japanese.

The Japanese youth sub-culture loves all things from the West. They are wealthy and educated, yet lack purpose in life. Most of them have never heard of God, and friendships are often tenuous and fleeting.

impacting a generation

Through the ministry of the Jesus Life House Church International and the Japan Team Members, these young people will come to know the incredible love of God and be discipled, that they may grow, be trained for future ministry, and eventually plant other churches – ultimately impacting a whole generation!

the strategy

Each team member works to earn their living in Japan, whilst sharing the love of God and the truth of the gospel through friendship evangelism. Hours outside of work are spent in coffee shop outreaches, uni outreaches, and sports outreaches – essentially being intentional about meeting new people, wherever they are.

working opportunities

Most team members work in the English Teaching industry. However, there are opportunities to work in other areas, such as hairdressing, the wedding industry, singing (especially Black Gospel), I.T. work and so on. There will also be future entrepreneurial opportunities for those so inclined.

Each team member of the Japan Team Project will grow in the following areas:

Japan Team Members don’t have to be young in age – but they must love youth, and be committed to reaching the next generation!

Over the year, their personal work resume will be enhanced and their future earning potential may also be boosted. At the same time, they will have an incredible experience and make an eternal impact on our Japanese friends.
