Commended to Local Assemblies
This list outlines the financial support needs of missionaries in service and those under appointment. It is set out in alphabetical order and indicates the amount of shortfall. Please prayerfully consider the following needs and contact us if you require further information.
Missionaries in Service
Greg and Kim - Mozambique
Greg and Kim, together with their children Gabi and Thomas, have already spent a year in Mozambique as Missions Assistants, assisting Robbie Housen. Before this, they were actively involved in several ministries in their home church, Gateway Church. They returned to Mozambique on 8th May as long-term Missionaries, initially assisting Laine and Ros Willis in training church planters and church leaders in rural locations. They will also use their agricultural and medical skills.

Robbie - Mozambique
Robbie directs the Bible College (ITM) in Beira, along with a board of national pastors. As part of her ministry, Robbie also provides preaching and teaching to pastors both at the Bible College and in other locations such as Macurungo where there are over 40 pastors attending training sessions. She aims to train and develop existing church leadership to the ministry of evangelism and church planting throughout the nation. The bible college offers students a full time three year course. At the end of this period, students are sent out to plant churches in remote areas and are expected to be self-supporting. Robbie has recently introduced assessment of these church plants in terms of in terms of effectiveness, reputation, impact as an agent of change in their community, hygiene and viability of self sufficiency strategy.

Bruce and Meralisa - Guinea
Bruce and Meralisa are working amongst the Fulani, evangelising them and helping to establish a self-governing and self-propagating church. More specifically, they are involved at the following levels:
- one-on-one: caring for neighbours with minor financial loans and budgeting advice; praying for the barren, sick and demon-possessed
- couples: marriage and family advice
- small groups: English classes, Pular literacy classes, “Learn about the prophets” classes, music tuition, children’s outreach
- mass evangelism: literature distribution, open air market preaching, presentation of the Jesus film, assisting with medical/dental outreaches and the occasional well-digging project.
They are also advisers to the national AOG and Bruce lectures at a Bible College.

Tim and Bronwyn - Thailand
Tim and Bronwyn have spent 6 months in Thailand as Missions Assistants with ACC World Missions and returned to Thailand on 5th May 2008 as long-term missionaries with their 4 children. They have called their ministry “Hope Asia”, and will continue working closely with Erik and Mariaana Klar. Hope Asia’s goals are to disciple people groups, plant churches and address issues of justice, people trafficking, abuse and poverty. They will initially work in 2 areas under the following department names:
1. “Community Evangelism 24/7” which targets ministry to children and youth between the ages of 7 and 24.
2. “Holders of Hope” which seeks to work with people who hold the hope which comes from being Christians, and to assist and facilitate them to spread that hope across South East Asia

World Missions General Fund
This fund is always under much pressure as it is used to meet shortfall in many areas of our World Missions program as urgent needs arise.
